Hal and Carolyn 12/27/06

Today we are in Williamstad, Curacao. It was originally a

Dutch community and the colors of the buildings reflect that. We did not take any excursions today. We went into the shopping area and I found this Internet Cafe. I am getting pretty good at this. I guess practice makes perfect or if not perfect at least improvement. Love, carolyn. I probably will not have another internet chance until we got to costa Rica. The internet on board is NOT high speed and cost $.75/minute. sorry I do not know how to rotate the picture at this site. What Hal wanted you to notice was the specialty of the day of Stewed Goat and Rabbit. Sounds yummy. Maybe it will be featured on the ship tonight in the main dining room. Carolyn

We are arriving in Oranjestad, Aruba at 8 this am and will depart at 11Pm. I am including pictures of sunrise in Aruba a picture of Aruba and picture of another ship. We went out on a catamaran for snorkling in 10 ft. of water. It was actually much harder to do in these waters with wave actions than it was in Cancun in a river as it met the sea. It is really amazing how they maneuver these ships in sides into a spot. The top boat is of our ship on the port side. At the left hand side of the picture you can see the start of a 3rd life boat. Our Veranda stateroom is midpoint above that life boat. I will have Hal take another picture of the boat and I will stand on the veranda with a red shirt on. You should be able to pick out red in that sea of white.

Today was quite windy at sea. Listed as moderate seas. The ship motion mostly fore to aft with little of the side bangs until into the night going into 12/26. I took some pictures of the bow waves during the wind. these pictures were taken from our veranda. There was a pool volley ball game that after noon and then dinner with Hal and I wearing our corsage and boutonniere from a mystery person as there was no card sent up with them. The present also including a jewelry like case that holds a 5X8 picture. I was wearing my jewels that night, the necklace and 2 rings.

After leaving home on 12/22/06 and 12 hours of travel we arrived in Miami at 5AM--2AM our time with almost no sleep. We finally had our luggage picked up and transported to the pier at 10:30 AM. We were taken there at 11 AM but they needed to do a starlization of the ship so they sent us to a Parrot Garden for lunch and to see the parrots. Finally we could go to the boat at 3 PM. Our Luggage did not arrive until after dinner. You can bet how we looked and felt. We took no pictures of us. But Hal got these to pictures of the 6 additiional cruise ships at the port of Miami.

Hal and Carolyn's Vacation

We are about to embark on our dream vacation. The dream actually began more than a year ago with the marriage of our daughter and the reaffirmation of our marriage vows. I now had a formal dress for the formal dinners aboard a cruise. We will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary on this cruise. Carolyn
